Hi there and welcome to Chai Time. Chai time literally translates to tea time and as all my friends know, I’m always available for tea and a chat! So, grab a cup of your favourite tea or beverage and join the conversation.
So, what is Mogra?
Mogra is a white flower that belongs to the Jasmine family and can be considered the “Queen of Jasmine”. Grown in India, Jasminum sambac has a small bloom with a beautiful fragrance. For a tiny flower, it packs quite a punch! Mogra flower garlands can often be found adorning women’s hair while exuding its essence throughout the day. Its strong delicate scent is also used in perfumes, aromatherapies and especially in incenses (agarbattis).
